This blog is intended to motivate and show you what everyone can do to enjoy the outdoors. There is so much more to life then what society gives, and the peace and happiness you find outside is so much more pure and real then the man-made life styles lots of us are tied into these days. Not saying its bad part of the man-made life style, but it really is good for the mind and body to feel the natural part of life as well. Just saying; take advantage of what you have around you that is natural and naturally beautiful and you will feel so much more alive and happy! :)

Magic Morning

So yesterday I woke up around six AM, packed all my camping stuff by seven and made it to the Buttermilks around seven thirty, which was right when the sun was coming up. I was the only person there and had every boulder to my self. It was quite a feeling to have world class boulders and climbing all to yourself, almost felt like I shouldn't have been there haha. But yeah great way to start off the day. After climbing a few boulders I left for Las Vegas and that is where I am now. Ill be staying here for about a week so my ankle can heal. Its going to be quite a week though, my friend Rick bought Lamb Of God tickets for the day after Halloween! Going to be crazy! Anyways here are photos of the early morning at the buttermilks.

This is one of my favorite boulders, its called the Green Wall Boulder. Its has some of the best quality rock and the most beautiful colors on it. The problem Im on here is called Green Wall Center v6.

Here are the first few moves.

This was right before the sun came up.

Awesome pink.

The Peabody boulders again.

My truck all by itself, such a privilege to have the spot to my self.

Sunshine boulder, this is like my favorite warmup.

Another pic of the Sunshine Boulder :)

More Buttermilk Pics.
These are pictures I took form on top of the Grandma Peabody.
Good view from up there.

BISHOP!! I made it!

Well Im here now in Bishop, but only for today.. Sadly my ankle is still hurt so Im going to visit a friend in Las Vegas... Yes Las Vegas people! hahaha. Its gunna be nuts, ill be there for Halloween.
So thats what im going to do for a little less then a week, hang out with Rick in Vegas while my ankle heals. Should only take a few more day to heal, I climbed today and it felt good till I started falling on it a lot. Which sux because bouldering is all about falling, and trying again and again.
Well Any way Check out the new photos of Bishop! <3

Heres my camp spot in The Pit! Love it here.

Here is lunch, dinner and food for tomorrow. Haha, I made like 10 severing of noodles because I have so many, so ill be eating the same thing for a couple days.. but thats ok because Its bomb, whole grain noodles with asparigus and onions. with some curry powder.

Ahhh.. BUTTERMILKS baby! So epic, The big boulders in the front are 50 feet tall. Everything here is pretty darn tall.

Mt. Tom is very pretty to look at.

This is Fly Boy Arete, super sick boulder. Just look at those colors, the most spectacular granite ever.
The Pea Bodys! I Climbed the one on the left this morning :) Its 45 feet tall. Im not tryin to brag but its pretty dope. and im proud of it.
Me lookin funny

Yep..

Sunshine boulder this was my warmup its really great climbing.

Cave boulders with the mountains in the background.

Hola People! Hope everyone is have a good time this Rocktober, its been great in Oregon!

Been climbing lots lots lots! And each day I have been sending new projects. Been busy life but at the same time very calming since all I do is climb all day! haha. I get up at 7:00 right as the sun comes up, eat my granola with Greek Yogurt ( which is now my favorite breakfast meal! SOOO GOOD. You must try, and get some good granola from the Fred Meyer bulk section), then I pack my rope, draws, and shoes and head to the cliffs by 8:30-9:00 and climb till 6-7:00. Sleep and do it again.

It feels like I should be doing a little more, im not used to not working. But for now im gunna enjoy it and be a climber bum! haha.
Here is a pic of my swollen ankle...  it hurts and im not quite sure what I did to it.
I hope it gets better. For now im going to listen to my parents and rest..

These are some pictures I took of Shana. She's crushin here, just passed through the crux of this bouldery 5.11b.
Think its call Blue Light. Beautiful peace of rock, slopers and patina crimps.

Here is a picture of the whole route, and the route next to it. The route next to Shana's is a 5.12b called Liquid Jade.
I really like the name, and the route is very technical and the crux is really cool! From a nasty slopy crimp to a gastone then up to more sloper crimps. Im gunna try it when my ankle is better.

These next pictures are some of the high ball bouldering that is right by the camp! really cool problems, some of the rock is HQ but some is choss. Fun stuff though.

Ahhh.. :) theres a good view of the Smith Rock main area, directly in the middle are the dihedrals which have the most spectacular dead vertical walls with pockets and crimps. Its amazing how they formed like that. Better view on the picture below.

To the right are the dihedrals, if you look close you can see people on the walls. Look like ants from where I am standing.

Sunset in the camp, it was a nice night.

Holla People, no time to write for each photo, but here are some climbs and things that were goin down in Smith today. These first pictures are of a 5.11b  that some say is the best in the park, and I would agree, its soooo good!! Long and it has every style of climbing, crimps, jugs, pinches and run out! Sounds fun right. The other climbing photos near the end are of a route call Watts Tots 5.12b which is the first bolted route in america! Its really cool, lots of one finger pockets and tiny feet! It felt hard.
And Mixed in with the rest of the photos is the 180 foot Smith Rock slack line!! Eathan and John are the guys who are doin it, they are staying in the camp with the rest of us and have been trying to cross it for the last few days. Today John made it more then half way so its gunna go!

More posts coming soon :)
