This blog is intended to motivate and show you what everyone can do to enjoy the outdoors. There is so much more to life then what society gives, and the peace and happiness you find outside is so much more pure and real then the man-made life styles lots of us are tied into these days. Not saying its bad part of the man-made life style, but it really is good for the mind and body to feel the natural part of life as well. Just saying; take advantage of what you have around you that is natural and naturally beautiful and you will feel so much more alive and happy! :)

This morning was exciting..
So this morning, I went to Rock Creak. Really cool place like literally, it was freakin cold!
Haha I know that was a lame joke but it was really cold up there. And right when I started climbing it started snowing.. But I managed to get a climb in and try some hard stuff.

I got on two problems. The first was called Grove and Arete v4. Grove and Arete might just be the best v4 I have ever been on. Its not sharp, its got really unique features. And its an arete! Who doesn't like arete climbing? Then I got on A Boy Named Sue v7 and that dint go so well.. haha I was to cold and my fingers hurt. So I gave up on that. But here are pics of Grove and Arete!

Start move is really fun. You have a really cool right hand side pull with a nice thumb catch, and left hand on the arete, then you make a big move up the arete.

Here is the coolest move on the climb! from the position im in now you make a huge move to a really good crimp (the Picture below).

And Bam..! once you stick the crimp its pretty much over.

Reach for the lip.

And pull over :) Classic!
Oh and BTW did you guys see the beautiful Aspen Tree forest? The setting for rock creak was really great because your in this pretty forest, theres a clear creak near by, there are boulders all over the place, and the mountains are really close by. Plus I was the only one there! But I found out why, its way colder up there then in the main Bishop area.
But I still had fun and now I know how good it is there so I will deff.  be going back.

Yaaa!!! Today Was A Good Day!

So today it finally sent!!! Im talking of course about High Plains Drifter! Im so stoked, High Plains has been a project since last year when I fist came to Bishop for a week with my dad. Now its done, lots of stress gone. Time to get all worked up about a new route. haha. High Plains is my first v7 here in Bishop so its kinda a special day to me.. I also got on a few other projects and was getting super close. Check em out!

This is Go Granny Go, a v5 that is pretty cool. Has really fun moves but a drop off for the top out.. So its not as cool. But the moves make up for it.

This is the crux for me, Its a massive bump move form a poor side pull to a jug.

This is the drop off part haha.

First moves are nice.

The next photos are of HPD! Check em out. I love the into move, you start on really good crimps and throw a heal hook. Sooo Good.

This is right before the crux. You get the hold my left hand is on and its not very good. Its like a sloppy crimp with a few crystals that bite your skin. After you get this hold, you move your feet and do "The Drifter Move" :)
But its not over after that there is one more tricky move to the jug that can spit you off. It spit me off on one of the attempts and when your up there it feels pretty high.

This is the move to the jug, one you get a grip on this right hand hold its over!

Ahhh Toped out! Felt pretty good. :)   Probably my favorite boulder problem iv climbed so far... Maybe. Its hard to say, each boulder is different and bring its own special set of moves. So its yeah its one of my favorite problems. haha one of the many..

Speaking of favorite boulder problems, this is such an awesome climb!! Its called Molly a v5 and its super sick. Its got these big moves at the beginning and then it changes to really technical foot work, and a massive move to the top which is what im about to do in this picture above. Ultra classic.

Ahhh.. this is a magical boulder problem...
The holds to the moves to the setting are all 100%!! This problem is called Seven Spanish Angles V6. Every hold on this problem is unique, there are slopers, crimps, blobs, and jugs on it. Its quite amazing how they formed like they did. Must be from water flowing over the face of the boulder for thousands of years.

Really cool move here, get a high heal hook that locks you in place, then move up left hand to a sloppy pinch.

That move is so dope! The left hand hold is a pinch that must have been sculpted by the Rock Gods! Its perfect.

And here is the crux! Its so sick. You get the pinch and a supper poor crimp thing for the right hand, get your feet right and DYNO! haha. Its so cool because its the last move and its the hardest move. I must have fallen from up there like 10 times today. Ill get it next time.. I had my hand in the jug in this picture just couldn't hang on.

Ahhhhh! falling!

Good thing I got my pads.

Same problem just a different view. Pretty boulder isnt it?
It stands all alone and has like 10 super classic problems on it.

Another pic of Molly.

HAHAHA! I just had to check this boulder out... Its call Whisky, Beer, and Spliff Hits For Breakfast! hahaha.
To silly right? But it got three stars in the guide book which means its a classic problem. And it was pretty sweet, except for the rock behind me.. I kept thinkin I was going to fall on it.

Druid Stones!

Went to the Druid Stones today, was pretty sick! Shredded my finger tips and sent some sweet climbs. Put down 3 v5's and they were all pretty classic. Check em out!
Oh and I meet up with some really cool peeps: Adam and Spencer, there hella bad ass, Adam has only been climbing for like 3 months and hes crushin v5!!! What!! I know thats unheard of.. :)
They left after this session, back to LA, but we exchanged #s and they said they will be back again. d
This is the first move on this super sick v5. Its a left hand cross over to a small incut crimp then you match your heal with your right hand on the start hold, then move to another crimp thats even smaller.. and sharper!

This is the Sky Stone, isnt it beautiful? This problem is call Sky Window or something v6, I was to tired to link all the move, next time for sure.

Notice how I bite my lips together? I can feel teeth marks on the inside of my lips as I write this. haha
Only when im doin power moves.

Even more focused! haha I like this photo. Look at the next hold im goin for, its sharp. Im like: "im gunna get ya and I aint lettin GO!" hahahaha
These pics are of a boulder problem call The Arch Druid v5. Supper dope, its got a nice desperate last move at the top where you have to make a dead point to a jug that you cant see!! haha and the landing is a sloping rock..
Check out my face in this photo, Bahahahaha. Looks like im about to poop!

Yeah thats right lady's, my arms are gettin bigger. ;) haha jk.

To the undercling and away!

Here is another sweet climb, forgot the name, some v5 though pretty sick

Ahh here is the scary move on the Arch Druid. Big move high off the deck.
Sounds like fun right?? :)  Im stoked on this photo, looks like im posing.

Ohhhh this was a fun little boulder problem, for got the name also and its a v5 as well. Deff. my favorite climb of the day because the moves are sooo sweet. Like heal hooks and cross overs to sharp incuts.

Cool action photo.

Here is the start of the climb I mentioned earlyer. Great fun.

First move. Tiny holds.

This photo is sick! thank Adam for the sweet photos, Crimpin HARD!

For sure folks, Im pumped, hope u liked the photos and keep crushin even if rock climbing isnt your think. Keep doing what you do and enjoy it! Dont let anything get in your way :)  live your life!
