This blog is intended to motivate and show you what everyone can do to enjoy the outdoors. There is so much more to life then what society gives, and the peace and happiness you find outside is so much more pure and real then the man-made life styles lots of us are tied into these days. Not saying its bad part of the man-made life style, but it really is good for the mind and body to feel the natural part of life as well. Just saying; take advantage of what you have around you that is natural and naturally beautiful and you will feel so much more alive and happy! :)

A Big Round of Applause

So today was supposed to be a rest day... butttt... I just had to go back up to the Clapper Boulder and climb A Big Round of Applause again because I wanted some better photos and I kinda wanted to see if I could do it again. And sure enough it all went well :) Soooo Stoked first v8 in Bishop. Check out the new photos, hope you like them.

I really like this photo!
Can you spot me? Look in the shadows :)
This one is cool to, climbing out of the shade into the sun :) Yes look at the weather, no clouds in sight, almost 60 degrees, climbing with out a shit weather. Perfect...

Ahhh... The Crux!! This is such a cool move because you can barely see the small crimp that you must get. Its hiding over the lip of the boulder and its a big move to get to it. Plus the feet are a little insecure.
BOOM! Got it!

Make a couple more hard move to better crimps, then a nice big finger jug that you wont let go of. But could mess it up if the feet slip out. Good thing for that La Sportiva rubber :))

The down climb, hop to the other boulder, then its just a walk off. The Happys always have nice and easy down climbs, The Buttermilks have the sketchy down climbs.

I was pretty psyched after that, so I did a quick lap on the Clapper V6. The next few photos are of the Clapper. Pretty much have climbed every route on this boulder except for one which is this v7, but I tried that also and I know I can do it. Next time.

The Clapper has some of the coolest hold! Like in this pic, the fat sloppy pinch for the left hand. Love that hold, its like a gym hold.

Dont miss the hard to see hold at the top, then its pretty much over.

This is the V7 that I dint finish, but ill do it next time. Today was supposed to be a rest day anyway. haha.
I know, I know, thats no excuse.. I Should have tried harder :)

Well yeah thats pretty much what up, the rest of the day was good as well. I went around town and swooped up some Apps for a job. Yeah im like almost out of money... it sux. If I dint have to spend all my money on the car then I wouldnt have to be stressing over money, but if I want this trip to last longer I gotta get a job and quick.
Might be Mc Dyl. again. hahaha (thats what my friends called me when I worked at Mc Donalds a couple years ago)

Haha its cool though any thing that will keep me fed and fueled for climbing!

  3. Thanks Carl!! I know right the name of the climb is funny. Yeah I am having a blast down here, its has its ups and downs but each day brings its own special lesson and excitement. Thanks a lot for checking out my blog, it means a lot to me.
:) How is the Juneau life? And how is the Rock Dump? I hope you are still crushing over there. If you get a chance to make it down here give me a call and we should climb together.
