Blahhhh... Cant Climb Everyday I Guess...
To day was cool, the weather was beautiful and there was just a slight breeze in the air, perfect climbing temps. Buttt... I have no skin and today was my eighth day on, yeah yeah I know, I need to rest. Tomorrow is my rest day for sure. Everything I touched felt painful and I had like no power.
But I managed to do one supper fun problem which made me feel good, it was only a v3 but had three stars in the guide book which is like the most stars a climb can get. ( Actually there are two problems in all of Bishop that have 4 stars.) Check out the pics below.
| Here is the start move. You have these two shallow and sloppy pockets and really good feet. Move up right hand to a cool hold that has individual pockets for each finger! Is like a bowling ball kinda.. |
| This is the move to the bowling ball hold. |
| Then you bring your left hand to a small two finger pocket below the right hand, bring your feet up and then make the some what hard lock-off a pocket that is alone high up on the wall. Its a big move and a far reach but not to hard when you get your feet right. |
| Here I have the hard to reach pocket. |
| Then move your feet up and Bamb! make a sorta big move to the lip which is really good. |
After that you match the lip and like always pull the mantel move. Which was really nice on this problem because there was a big jug up there. Great Fun!
Well like I said, tomorrow is rest.. and then wednesday were going to the B-Milks I think! Cant wait. Im just gunna chill and read all day tomorrow. Thats about all I feel like doing. Maybe some nerding out on the computer as well :). OH AND BY THE WAY! If you are reading this, you should go to YouTube type in Alpine Mike Alaska in the search bar (my Dad YouTube Chanel) and check out the move he made of are two week of climbing together here in Bishop and in J-Tree!
